Our Voice, Our Values: Why District 99 Representation Starts Now

The recent news that House District 99 will be represented by an unaffiliated member for the remainder of this term is a significant moment for our community. However, the most important voice in this conversation has already been heard: Yours!!

In March, District 99 sent a clear and powerful message by choosing a new direction for our future. True leadership isn't just about a title or personal "principles" it’s about a deep, unwavering commitment to the people you are chosen to represent. When a representative’s votes consistently drift away from the needs of their constituents, the democratic process provides a path forward.

While I am honored to be your Representative-elect, my official term does not begin until January 2027. But District 99 cannot afford to wait until January for representation that reflects our values.

• Protect the Governor’s Veto: We must hold the line against legislation that hurts our families.

• Address the Cost of Living: Our Duke Power and gas bills are too high.

• Support Working Families: We need a living wage and protected Medicaid.

• Stand Up for Our Children: Advocate for every parent, teacher and student in North Carolina.
